American actress born on 28 April 1948 in New York. She began her career as a singer, then started acting in theatre before she broke into television with the series The Patty Duke Show (1964). Her works include Welcome Back, Kotter (1975-1979), Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (1989), and Tremors (2003). She passed away on 24 October 2014 in Los Angeles, California.
