Naomi Watts is a critically acclaimed British-Australian actor who has been called the "queen of remakes." She was born in Britain in 1968 to Miv and Peter Watts, the road manager for Pink Floyd. Her father's sudden death prompted her family to move around for many years before settling in Australia when she was fourteen. Watts began her career on Australian television, but got her breakthrough role in David Lynch's 2001 psychological thriller "Mulholland Drive." Critics sung her praises again the next year for her powerful performance in the blockbuster horror "The Ring" (2002). She received a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her performance in "21 Grams" in 2004.
