American TV show host and producer, writer and actor born as Thomas John Brokaw on 6 February 1940 in Webster, South Dakota. He's best known as the anchor and managing editor of NBC Nightly News for 22 years (1982–2004). His other works include Music and the Spoken Word (2014), and Toots (2006).
