American actor, director and choreographer born as Eugene Curran Kelly on 23 August 1912 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He's best known for taking part in some of the iconic musical films of the 1940s and 1950s. His most notable works include On the Town (1949), An American in Paris (1951), Singin' in the Rain (1952), and Inherit the Wind (1960). He passed away on 2 February 1996 in Beverly Hills, California.
