American actor born on September 17, 1948 in Burbank, California. He's the youngest son of legendary country singer/actor Tex Ritter. He was famous for playing Jack Tripper on the sitcom Three's Company (1976-1984), for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award in 1984. His other notable credits include Problem Child (1990), Sling Blade (1996), and 8 Simple Rules (2002–2003). ​He passed away on 11 September 2003.


John Ritter is an American actor. He is Western film star and legendary country singer Tex Ritter's youngest son. He is most famous for playing Jack in the television series "Three's Company", and the lead role in "8 Simple Rules For Dating My Teenage Daughter". He died on the 11th of September, 2003.
