American animator and director born on 19 May 1956 in Brooklyn, New York. He studied animation at The School of Visual Arts. His works include numerous animated films, including The Lion King (1994), The Prince of Egypt (1998), Pocahontas (1995), and Shrek (2011). He has been married to Pat Sito since 1980.
