American writer and producer born on 5 October 1972. He graduated from the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Annandale, Virginia. He began his career in 1998 when he wrote the story for the TV movie Killers in the House. He's best known for Arlington Road (1999), Scream 3 (2000), The Ring (2005) and its sequel in 2005.

His career includes films like "Arlington Road" (1999), "Scream 3" (2000), "The Ring" (2002), "The Ring 2" (2005), "The Brothers Grimm" (2005), "Blood and Chocolate" (2007) and three of the four "Transformer" films: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), Dark of the Moon (2011) and Age of Extinction (2014).
