He attended Southwest Missouri State University, where he studied drama, and then moved to New York shortly after graduating. He made his debut in The Face of Rage (1983). He is best known for his role in the sci-fi and horror film 10 Cloverfield Lane. Among his most notable films are Barton Fink, Argo, and Flight.
John Goodman, born in 1952, is an American film, television and stage actor. He's best known for his long run on the 1990s television series "Roseanne," for which he earned a Best Actor Golden Globe in 1993. He is the voice behind Sully in "Monsters, Inc." (2001). He has repeatedly worked with the Coen Brothers in "Raising Arizona" (1987), "Barton Fink" (1991), the hilarious cult favorite "The Big Lebowski" (1998) and "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" (2000). Goodman played Fred Flintstone in the 1994 screen adaptation of the classic 1960s cartoon "The Flintstones" about a run-of-the-mill, suburban family living in the Stone Age. Goodman continues to make interesting choices, with roles in the Academy Award-winning "The Artist" (2011), a guest spot on the hit television series "Community," and "Flight" (2012) with Denzel Washington.
