A New Zealand director and writer, born in Paraparaumu, New Zealand. He began his career in London through some television advertisements before moving to Los Angeles to make films. In 1997, he directed and wrote his first work, Gattaca. His other credits include Lord of War, In Time, and The Truman Show.
