An American actress, born in Dallas in 1966, and raised in San Diego, California. She started her career as a model in 1980 at the age of 14, working in Paris and Japan, and after graduating from high school wanted to become an actress, after which she got a role in the soap opera Santa Barbara (1984), for which she received three Emmy Award nominations. Robin gained fame for her role in the movie Forrest Gump. She also participated in many notable movies, such as Moneyball (2011), as well as the series House of Cards.


Robin Gayle Wright is an American actress and television director. Her breakthrough came with her role in the NBC soap opera Santa Barbara from 1984 to 1988. Her film debut was in The Princess Bride in 1987, after which she went on to star in hit films like Toys, Forrest Gump, Message in a Bottle and Unbreakable. Her most acclaimed role to date is that of Claire Underwood in the Netflix original series House of Cards.
