English writer born on 3 December 1857 in Kiev, Russian Empire (currently Ukraine) to Polish parents. He grew up and received his primary education in Poland. His works as a writer include The Rescue, Sabotage, Outcast of the Islands, and The Duellists. He died on 3 August 1924 in Oswalds, Bishopsbourne, UK.
