An American actress and director, born on April 4, 1950 in Birmingham, Michigan. She started her career in 1978 in the TV movie Dr. Scorpion. Among her most prominent works are: And Justice for All, Running on Empty, Chicago Hope and Jack & Bobby. She won an Oscar in 1996 for Best Short Film for Lieberman in Love
