An American actor, born in Atlanta, Georgia, before his family moved to Decatur in his home state, where he studied at Decatur High School. He's best known for playing Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy in the television and film series Star Trek, such as Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982). He died on June 11, 1999, in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA, at age 79.
