An American screenwriter, born in Manhattan, New York, USA, in 1930. He studied playwriting at Queen's College, from which he graduated. When he was 24, his first play "High Named Today" had a brief Off Broadway run. He was previously married to Marjorie Goodman and had one child. David is best known for Straw Dogs (2011), Farewell, My Lovely (1975), and Logan's Run (1976). He died on September 26, 2011, in Oakland, California, United States, at the age of 81.
