An American director, producer, and writer. He was nominated for an Academy Award in 2006 for his documentary debut Murderball. He is a former Senior Editor of Spin Magazine, Founding Editor and Senior Writer of Icon Magazine, and a contributor to The New York Times Magazine and other publications. His credits include Monogamy (2010) and My Biodegradable Heart (2007).
