A British film director, writer, and producer, born in Glasgow, Strathclyde, Scotland, United Kingdom. She graduated from the National Film and Television School in the United Kingdom in 1995. She began her directing career in 1996 with the short film Small Deaths. Her works include Ratcatcher, Morvern Callar, We Need to Talk About Kevin, and You Were Never Really Here.
