A South Korean director and writer, born on October 25, 1960, in Seoul, South Korea. He is known for The Day After (2017), Right Now, Wrong Then (2015), and Night and Day (2008). He received his BA from the California College of the Arts and his MA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Also, he has been a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) since 2018.
