A multi-talented American songwriter, director, screenwriter, actor, and novelist, born in Honolulu, attended Starfish School, and then attended St. Louis High School and graduated from it in 1968. While studying at Yale University, he played many dramatic roles in the university, and then his focus began to go outside the campus, where he worked in Worcester Square (1969). He began his career as a vocalist on the Honolulu stage and Honolulu Youth Theatre. He also wrote many children's novels.
