An American actress who was born on July 22, 1967 in Anchorage, Alaska, United States. She is best known for playing the role of Pocahontas and for portraying Native American women in films due to her Native American features. Her most important works are the animated film Pocahontas (1995), the film Smoke Signals (1998), the animated film Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018), and the series Westworld (2016). She graduated from Diamond High School in Anchorage in 1985 and received a Musical Theater degree from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She married composer Danny Wilson. She was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her role in Lakota Woman: Siege at Wounded Knee in 1995.
