An American film director who was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. He began his artistic career in 1982 when he directed the movie Privileged. His most important works include The Last Station (2009), A Midsummer Night's Dream (1999), Promised Land (1987), and Some Girls (1988). He attended Payette High School and studied at Boise State University. He married Samantha Silva.
