He was an Egyptian director and radio writer, born in Bahtit village, Abu Hammad, Sharkia Governorate, in 1934. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Acting, and he also studied under the well-known poet and writer Zakaria El Hijjawi, to find his way in the authentic folklore. He was a director and writer at Middle East Radio for a long time, and enriched the radio with many works such as Garden Roses, and Virgin Widow. He passed away at age 79 in 2013.
