An American actor, director, and author, born on October 30, 1953 in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, California. He began his acting career in 1971 in the series The Brady Bunch. He made his directorial debut in 1986 in the movie Trick or Treat. He is best known for American Graffiti, Never Cry Wolf, The Untouchables, and Dolphin Tale.
