Australian writer, born on 1 July, 1937 in Belfort Downs, Western Australia. She wrote the book Follow the Rabbit-Proof Fence in 1996, which was adapted into the 2002 film Rabbit-Proof Fence. She passed away on April 10, 2014 in Perth, Australia.
