Canadian-American actor who was born on March 26, 1950 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. His brother died when he was 12, and both his parents died by the time he was 20. He studied at Westdale High School and McMaster University. He earned two Primetime Emmy Awards, and a Tony Award. He worked in many animated films, including Frankenweenie (2012). He is known for Innerspace (1987), The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006) and Inherent Vice (2014).
