An American actor and director, born in 1938. After working extensively in the theater as a director and actor, and appearing in the 1967 television series He & She, in which he worked with his wife, he got a starring role in the film adaptation of Philip Roth's bestselling novel Goodbye, Columbus. Benjamin then participated in a wide range of works such as Westworld, and Catch-22, before moving to directing films such as My Stepmother Is an Alien, and Little Nikita.
