Steven Conrad is an American screenwriter, film producer and director. He was born in 1969 in Florida, and majored in English in Northwestern University. He sold his first screenplay at the age of 19, which was called Wrestling Ernest Hemingway and was adapted from a short story he had written before. He then wrote and directed Lawrence Melm eleven years later. His most notable films are The Weather Man, The Pursuit of Happyness and Unfinished Business. He also wrote the Ben Stiller film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
