An American actress, born August 19, 1969 in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Washington, D.C. in 1987 to study at Howard University. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree, she moved to New York City. She made her debut in 1992, and is famous for her roles in multiple films, most notably Friday (1995), Hustle & Flow (2005), and Idlewild (2006).
