An American actress, born February 21, 1969 in San Francisco. She is a graduate of Brown University and New York University's Tisch College of the Arts. She has a BA in African-American Studies from Brown University, and studied acting in New York University. She began her artistic career in acting in the theater, appearing in her first movie, Girls Town. She starred in many films as Men of Honor (2000), The Caveman's Valentine (2001), Undercover Brother (2002), Ray (2004), The Express (2008) and Help (2011).
