A Malaysian writer, actor, and director, born as Dain Iskandar Said. He studied film at the University of Westminster in London. His directorial debut was Surabaya Johnny (1990), which was his graduation project and was screened at the London Film Festival in 1989. His most famous works include Bunohan: Return to Murder (2011), Interchange (2016), and Dukun (2018). He won several awards, including Best Director in 2013 and 2017 at the Malaysia Film Festival.
