Icelandic author born in 1961. He holds a degree in history from the University of Iceland, has worked in Icelandic journalism as a writer and art critic, and won the Glass Key Literary Award and the Golden Dagger Literary Award for his novel The Silence of the Grave. His works of art have been adapted from the films Jar City (2006), Contraband (2012), and Operation Napoleon (2023).
