An American screenwriter and producer, born and raised in Long Island, New York, USA. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he majored in English. He is the writing partner of Jack Amiel, with whom he co-wrote several works, and they studied together at the same university. He began his career in 1992, working as a production assistant on The Cosby Show. Among his works are Perry Mason, The Knick, and Hell on Earth.
