He was born in Bijar, Kurdistan Province, Iran, in 1966. He studied directing and acting, and graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in 1990. He began his career by performing radio skits. His notable work includes the series Mukhtar Al-Thaqafi (2010), and the movie A Cube of Sugar (2011).
