An American writer, who only worked on a few, yet memorable films. He graduated from the California Institute of the Arts, where he studied film. In 1995, he sold his first screenplay. The movie 300 was his first and most notable work. He also worked on the movies Act of Valor (2011), 300: Rise of an Empire (2014), and Atomic Blonde (2017).
