Shahab Hosseini was born in 1974 in Tehran, Iran. He studied psychology at Tehran University, but did not complete his studies, as he turned to art after joining the university theater. He later worked on the radio as a presenter for six years, and appeared for the first time on television as the host of the program Oxygen. His first TV series was After the Rain, then Hosseini turned to the world of cinema, as he attracted attention with his performance in the film The Fifth Reaction.
