A Turkish actress and singer, born in 1944 in the city of Samsun in northern Turkey along the Black Sea. After the death of the father, Hilal moved with her mother to live in Istanbul. She began her career at the age of fifteen by working as a model, which led her to participate in beauty pageants inside and outside Turkey. In 1961, she entered the world of cinema and has participated in many Turkish films since then, including: Parmaksiz Salih, Bitter Life, and Bride of the Earth. Arab viewers knew her through her participation in a number of Turkish drama series dubbed into Arabic, especially her roles in the series Forbidden Love, and The Sultan's Harem.
