Mohamed El Banhawy was born on August 16, 1982. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Ain Shams University and worked as a journalist for Al-Akhbar newspaper. He studied acting with artist Ahmed Kamal in a workshop run by actor, Mahmoud Hemeida. He appeared in the series Love and Anger Poetry (1999), and A Song on the Bridge of Hope (1998).
