An Iranian actor and film director, born in Tehran. He studied acting at the School of Visual Arts and began his artistic career by acting in a short role in the film Come Stranger (1968) directed by Masoud Kimiai. He won the Crystal Simorgh Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role from the Fajr Film Festival in 1988 for his role in the film Train. His most important works include Exodus (2020), The Sinners (2012), and Two and A Half Men (1991).
