An Australian director and screenwriter, who began his career by directing the short film Blue Tongue (2005). His first feature film was The Snowtown Murders (2011), followed by Macbeth (2015), which was nominated for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival. He married Australian actress Essie Davis and they have two children.
