A Spanish actress, born on March 16, 1965 in Madrid, Madrid, Spain. Her father was a civil engineer and her mother was a ballet instructor. She traveled with her family to Sant Joan d'Alacant when she was a child because her sister had asthma. She married Daniel Écija (2003-2006), and they had 3 children before their divorce. She studied architecture and worked as a salesperson and a model until she worked as a successful TV presenter. She won a Goya Award in 2004 for her role in The Sea Inside (2004) and received another Goya nomination for The Orphanage (2007).
