Russian actor born in Ukraine. He studied at Dnepropetrovsk Regional Theatre and Art College. He specialized in puppet theatre, and after graduation he was called to serve in the Soviet Army. He began his artistic career at the age of twenty-six with the film Otryad (1984). He is known for Obida (1987), Moonzund (1988), Bespredel (1989), and Doktor. Zhivago (2006).
