Iranian actor born in Tehran, he graduated from the Art Institute. He made his debut on a play titled "A Glance at the Night" (1983). He also wrote screenplays. His professional film debut was on "The Thief and the Writer" (1987). He also directed a few films including "Bitter Almonds" and "Marriage in Absentia".
