Actress and writer, born on December 10, 1973 in Little Compton, Rhode Island, a coastal fishing village. Her father was an accountant, and her mother was a real estate agent. She attended Middlesex School in Concord. She is of Swedish and Norwegian origin. She studied at Colorado College, a small liberal arts school, where she earned a BA in theater and studio arts. She is known for Insatiable (2018), Shameless (2011) and Orange Is the New Black (2013).
