Mexican director, born on June 2, 1970. She obtained a degree in Communication Sciences. She gained experience in journalism and writing documentaries, and worked as a journalist. She then moved to New York, and obtained a master’s degree in directing and script writing from Columbia University. She directed two short films in 2002 and a documentary (Family Portrait) in 2004, which won many awards in different festivals. In 2007, she directed the movie Under the Same Moon, which was her first official movie. In 2010, she was chosen to direct the TV movie Lemonade Mouth, after which she directed several films, including: Miracles from Heaven.
