An Egyptian singer, born in Ismailia. He began his artistic career in the early sixties, but his actual breakthrough came after the 1967 war when artistic troupes were formed in the cities of the Suez Canal as a kind of resistance during the period of displacement. He became a member of the band Al Samedeen (The Steadfast) in Ismailia. His songs include "Shek Shek Marzouka". He is known for singing in The Night of Fatima's Arrest (1984). He participated in A Woman on Probation (1990).
