American columnist and journalist, born on November 7, 1951 in Torrance, United States. He attended El Camino College before serving two years in the military during the Vietnam War. He abandoned his goal of becoming a teacher and coach as he realized the importance of sports journalism. He started his career with the Daily Breeze newspaper in Torrance in 1969. He has produced numerous reports, sports documentaries and biographies for a number of networks and newspapers.
