Scott Derrickson is an American screenwriter and director, born in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Biola University after earning a bachelor's degree in Humanities. In addition to his great interest in literature and philosophy, he earned a bachelor's degree in communications. He is well known for directing and writing the movies Sinister (2012), and Doctor Strange (2016).
