James Ransone is an American actor and musician of Italian descent. In 1997, Ransone graduated from the Carver Center for Arts and Technology in Towson, Maryland, where he studied theater and fine arts. He snagged his first film role in "The American Astronaut" (2001). He's had recurring roles on two HBO series, "The Wire" and "Treme." He is best known for his roles in "Inside Man," and "Generation Kill," an American TV series about an embedded Rolling Stone reporter during the first wave of the American-led assault on Baghdad in 2003.
