Australian screenwriter, film director, and actress, born on December 13, 1947 in Queensland, Australia. She is known for her diverse roles in numerous TV shows and movies. She made her acting debut at age 10. She's best known for co-writing and co-directing the animated film Happy Feet (2006). Her other credits include The Picture Show Man (1977) and The Eye of the Storm (2011).
