A Polish director and writer, born in Warsaw, Poland. He moved at the beginning of his life to reside in Britain, where he did most of his work. In his beginnings, he wrote and directed many documentaries and short films before making feature-length films. His credits include Ida, The Woman in the Fifth, and Cold War.
