James Ponsoldt is a writer, producer and director who was born in 1978 in Athens, Georgia, USA. Ponsoldt graduated from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut with a Bachelor's Degree and earned a Master's of Fine Arts degree in directing from Columbia University in New York City. He's known for Smashed (2012), The Spectacular Now (2013), The End of the Tour (2015) and The Circle (2017).
